Botha Laubscher received his master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Pretoria.

He began his career at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and later became the chief engineer and technical director for South Africa’s leading dairy company.

During his time at Clover SA, he received four prestigious awards including the top CEO award for his contribution to planning and development.

Upon his retirement, he started a management-consulting firm and is active in a number of civic organizations.

He and his wife have two children.
